Equipment Application

This equipment is primarily used for the highly efficient machining of flanges, disc-shaped, and ring-shaped components. It is capable of drilling through holes, drilling blind holes, and milling sealing grooves on both elemental materials and composite materials. It supports high-speed internal coolant drilling with carbide drills, or conventional external coolant drilling with standard HSS twist drills.


Equipment Features

1. Bed and Worktable:

The bed consists of two main sections (left and right) made of HT250 cast iron. It has undergone stress-relief annealing treatment, providing excellent static and dynamic rigidity. Each section of the bed is equipped with two ultra-high load-capacity linear guideways and precision rack-and-pinion drives. The drive system utilizes AC servo motors with anti-backlash gearboxes for dual-side synchronous driving, along with hydraulic locking devices to ensure high positioning accuracy and repeatability. Adjustable leveling bolts are distributed on the bottom of the bed for easy horizontal adjustment.

The worktable is independent of the bed and features T-slots for convenient workpiece clamping. Made of HT250 cast iron and treated with stress-relief annealing, the worktable is anchored to the ground for easy horizontal adjustment.


2. Movable Gantry:

The gantry adopts a novel frame-type structure to minimize its height, resulting in a lower center of gravity and reduced vibration. Two ultra-high load-capacity linear guideways are installed on the front side of the gantry, along with a precision ball screw drive and an AC servo motor in the center, enabling the Y-axis movement of multiple power head slides. The entire gantry welded structure has undergone stress-relief annealing treatment.


Feature 1: Static analysis of the crossbeam was conducted using ANSYS 3D software to optimize the internal rib layout. The optimal "star-shaped" (cross-braced) structure was adopted, which significantly reduces the crossbeam's weight while maintaining sufficient rigidity, thereby minimizing gravity-induced interference.


Feature 2: Harmonic response analysis of the crossbeam was performed using Adams dynamic simulation software. By combining different materials (e.g., using two different materials for the outer plates and internal ribs) and optimizing the rib layout, the anti-vibration performance of the crossbeam under dynamic drilling forces has been significantly improved.


Feature 3: After welding, the crossbeam underwent overall furnace annealing as the first stress-relief step. This was followed by Shot Blasting to remove the surface oxide layer and release internal stresses. Finally, vibratory stress relief (VSR) treatment was applied after rough machining. These three comprehensive steps effectively guarantee the precision and stability of the crossbeam after final machining.


3. Drilling Power Head:

The high-speed drilling power head is driven by a dedicated spindle inverter motor for stepless variable frequency speed control. The feed system is driven by a servo motor and ball screw. The X and Y axes can be interpolated simultaneously, enabling linear and circular interpolation functions. The working feed is adjusted and set via the CNC system. The spindle features a BT50 taper bore, and the spindle box is equipped with a tool release cylinder for convenient tool changing. It can withstand heavy cutting loads, is suitable for high-speed machining with carbide tools, and possesses light milling capabilities.


4. Full-Digital CNC System Control:

The machine tool is equipped with the FAGOR 8070 CNC system and an LCD display. For convenient programming, data storage, display, and communication, the user interface features human-machine dialogue, error compensation, and automatic alarm functions. It also includes a chip-breaking function, allowing users to set the chip-breaking time and cycle directly on the HMI (Human-Machine Interface).


5. Other Auxiliary Components:

Flat-plate chain-type automatic chip conveyor and coolant circulation system, automatic lubrication system, safety guards, and hydraulic system.
